Method
Preparation
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure a crispier exterior.
- In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, sea salt, black pepper, and optional hot sauce until evenly coated.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
- Cook for approximately 25-30 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
- The wings are done when they are golden brown and crispy.
Saucing and Serving
- If using the sauce, mix the buffalo sauce with melted butter in a separate bowl.
- Transfer the cooked wings to the sauce and toss until fully coated.
- Return them to the air fryer for an additional 3-5 minutes to adhere the sauce.
- Remove the wings from the air fryer and serve hot.
Notes
For extra crispy wings, increase the cooking time by 5-10 minutes. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. You can freeze cooked wings for up to a month.
