Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar with an electric mixer for 2-3 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until you have a thick, doughy consistency.
- Scoop teaspoonfuls of dough and shape them into balls. Place them on an ungreased baking sheet.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes until the edges are golden.
- Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie after removing from the oven.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Decoration
- Once cooled, use colored frosting and sprinkles to embellish the cookies.
Notes
Store the cookies in an airtight container for up to a week. Freezing the cookie dough balls beforehand allows you to bake directly from frozen.
