Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with salt, pepper, and olive oil until fully coated.
Baking
- Arrange the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly oiled and bake for about 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Making the Sauce
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until well-combined and bubbling, about 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat and let simmer for another 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Glazing the Wings
- Remove wings from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the sauce over the wings and toss to coat thoroughly.
- Return the glazed wings to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes to allow the sauce to caramelize.
Serving
- Let the wings cool for a few minutes, then plate and serve.
Notes
Use fresh chicken wings for best flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
