Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- Spread the apple pie filling evenly on the bottom of your greased dish and sprinkle ground cinnamon over it.
- In a bowl, combine the yellow cake mix and melted butter; stir until well blended, resembling moist crumbs.
- Evenly sprinkle the cake mix over the apple filling.
- Pour the caramel sauce evenly over the top of the cake mix.
Baking
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
Serving
- Allow the dump cake to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
Experiment with flavors by adding a pinch of nutmeg or using different fruit fillings. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Can be made gluten-free by using a gluten-free cake mix.
