Method
Preparation
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch dressing, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix, as this can make the burgers tough.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and gently shape each into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.
Cooking
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. If using a skillet, add a drizzle of olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Cook the chicken patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through (an internal temperature of 165°F) and have nice grill marks or a golden crust.
Assembly
- Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster. Then, place a patty on each bun and top with lettuce, tomato, and an extra drizzle of ranch dressing if desired.
Serving
- Serve the burgers with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. You can substitute ground chicken with ground turkey or any other ground meat. For a vegetarian version, consider using a plant-based meat substitute. Add diced vegetables for extra flavor and nutrition.
