Ingredients

For the Sliders
  • 1 pound ground beef (preferably 80/20 for juiciness) For the best flavor, source high-quality, grass-fed beef.
  • 6-8 pieces slider buns (miniature hamburger buns)
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your cheese of choice)
For the Toppings
  • Lettuce leaves, rinsed and dried
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles (sweet or dill based on preference)
  • Ketchup and mustard (or your favorite sauces)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper. Gently mix until just combined (avoid overworking the meat).
  3. Form the beef mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches wide, ensuring they are slightly thinner in the center (they will puff up while cooking).
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  2. In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with shredded cheese and cover the skillet with a lid to allow the cheese to melt perfectly.
  3. While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the slider buns in the oven for 3-5 minutes.
Assembly
  1. Assemble the sliders. Place one cheesy patty on each bun, then layer with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and your choice of condiments.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious cheeseburger sliders!

Notes

For extra flavor, add minced garlic or onion to the beef mixture or incorporate Worcestershire sauce. To make it low-carb, use lettuce wraps instead of buns. For a spicy kick, include jalapeños or hot sauce in the toppings. Leftover sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through.
