Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper. Gently mix until just combined (avoid overworking the meat).
- Form the beef mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches wide, ensuring they are slightly thinner in the center (they will puff up while cooking).
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with shredded cheese and cover the skillet with a lid to allow the cheese to melt perfectly.
- While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the slider buns in the oven for 3-5 minutes.
Assembly
- Assemble the sliders. Place one cheesy patty on each bun, then layer with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and your choice of condiments.
- Serve warm and enjoy your delicious cheeseburger sliders!
Notes
For extra flavor, add minced garlic or onion to the beef mixture or incorporate Worcestershire sauce. To make it low-carb, use lettuce wraps instead of buns. For a spicy kick, include jalapeños or hot sauce in the toppings. Leftover sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through.
