Ingredients

For the Smoothie Base
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (hulled and halved) Using fresh strawberries with vibrant color ensures your smoothie retains its beautiful pink hue.
  • 1 piece ripe banana (frozen works great too) If using a frozen banana, make sure it’s peeled and broken into chunks.
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or your preferred milk)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt For creaminess. You can substitute with a dairy-free alternative for a vegan option.
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup Adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • 1-2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup Optional for extra sweetness.
For Garnish
  • 1 cup extra fresh strawberries For topping.
  • whipped cream Optional.
  • chocolate shavings For that extra touch of decadence.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by rinsing your fresh strawberries under cold water and hulking them (removing the green tops).
  2. If you’re using a frozen banana, make sure it’s peeled and broken into chunks.
Blending
  1. In a blender, combine the fresh strawberries, frozen banana, almond milk, Greek yogurt, and chocolate syrup.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Taste Testing
  1. Give your smoothie a taste. If you prefer it sweeter, add honey or maple syrup and blend briefly to incorporate.
Serving
  1. Pour the smoothie into tall glasses, filling them about three-quarters full.
  2. Top with extra fresh strawberries, a dollop of whipped cream, and chocolate shavings for a delightful finish.
Enjoying
  1. Serve your smoothie right away for the best flavor and texture!

Notes

For a thicker smoothie, add more frozen strawberries or a few ice cubes. Consider using stevia or other preferred sweeteners for a sugar-free version. Store leftover smoothie in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours, shaking or stirring before enjoying.
