Ingredients

For the Baked Potatoes
  • 4 medium russet potatoes Russets work best for their fluffy interior.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can substitute with neutral oil.
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For Garnishing (Optional)
  • Sour cream
  • Chives or green onions, chopped
  • Shredded cheese
  • Butter

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Prick the potatoes with a fork a few times all over to allow steam to escape. Rub each potato with olive oil, coating all sides.
  3. Sprinkle the potatoes with sea salt and black pepper, ensuring even coverage.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Once heated, place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket without touching.
  2. Cook for 35-40 minutes, turning them halfway through. They're done when the skin is crispy and a fork easily pierces through the flesh.
Serving
  1. Carefully remove the potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute before slicing open.
  2. Top with sour cream, chives, shredded cheese, or butter as desired.

Notes

For extra crispy skin, add a bit of baking soda to the oil rub. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for about 5 minutes.
