Preparation
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Prick the potatoes with a fork a few times all over to allow steam to escape. Rub each potato with olive oil, coating all sides.
- Sprinkle the potatoes with sea salt and black pepper, ensuring even coverage.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Once heated, place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket without touching.
- Cook for 35-40 minutes, turning them halfway through. They're done when the skin is crispy and a fork easily pierces through the flesh.
Serving
- Carefully remove the potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute before slicing open.
- Top with sour cream, chives, shredded cheese, or butter as desired.
Notes
For extra crispy skin, add a bit of baking soda to the oil rub. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for about 5 minutes.
