Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of cocoa powder, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, 1 tsp of baking powder, and 1/4 tsp of salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream 1/2 cup of softened unsalted butter until it’s light and fluffy.
- Add the dry mixture into the butter mixture and mix well.
- Fold in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract.
- Using a tablespoon, scoop out portions of dough and roll them into balls.
Baking
- Place them about 2 inches apart on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
Make sure your butter is softened to room temperature for the best blending. Store the biscuits in an airtight container for up to a week. They also freeze well.
