Ingredients

For the Chicken
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (fresh, ideally)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Sauce
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened) Make sure cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Or more for a cheesy kick; can substitute with mozzarella.
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley For garnish, optional.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper, placing them in a greased baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, blend the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chicken broth, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the cheese mixture evenly over the chicken breasts in the baking dish.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  2. Once baked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then sprinkle with dried parsley before serving.

Notes

Cooking Time: If using larger chicken breasts, increase baking time slightly. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat gently in the oven or microwave. Substitute Greek yogurt or sour cream for a lighter option, though it will alter the flavor slightly. For vegetarian options, consider using sturdy vegetables like eggplant or portobello mushrooms in place of chicken.
