Ingredients

For the Salmon
  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each) Fresh or frozen works, but fresh is ideal for flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste; use sea salt for a touch of gourmet flair.
For the Garlic Butter
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter Choose high-quality butter for a richer flavor.
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic enhances the aroma and flavor significantly.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped You can substitute with dried parsley, but fresh is preferable.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Freshly squeezed lemon juice brings brightness to the dish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a baking dish with a bit of olive oil or butter.
  3. Season the salmon fillets generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Making Garlic Butter
  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice.
Baking
  1. Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the seasoned salmon fillets.
  2. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer; salmon is perfectly cooked at an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Keep an eye on the fillets; they can dry out quickly. You can prepare the garlic butter in advance and store it in the fridge.
