Preparation
- In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced flank steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Mix well to coat the beef, then let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, ginger, and honey until smooth. Set aside.
Cooking
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned but slightly pink in the center. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add a splash of oil if necessary, then toss in the broccoli and bell pepper. Stir-fry for about 3 minutes until they are bright and slightly tender, yet still crisp.
- Return the beef to the pan with the veggies. Pour in the prepared sauce and toss everything to coat evenly. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
Serving
- Remove from heat and serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles.
Notes
Using fresh, high-quality ingredients will elevate your dish significantly. Feel free to swap flank steak for chicken or tofu for a different protein twist. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet to maintain the texture.
