Ingredients

For the Fudge
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Choose high-quality for a richer flavor.
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
For the Topping (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) Work beautifully as toppings.
  • Sea salt to sprinkle on top
  • A drizzle of melted chocolate

Method

Preparation
  1. Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
Melting Ingredients
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 5 to 7 minutes.
Pouring
  1. Once melted and combined, pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Topping
  1. If using, add nuts or sprinkle sea salt while the fudge is still warm, pressing them lightly into the surface.
Chill
  1. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully set. Lift out of the pan using the parchment paper.
Cutting and Serving
  1. Once cooled, slice into squares and enjoy. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerate.

Notes

Mix up the chocolate by swapping semi-sweet chips for milk chocolate or dark chocolate. Consider adding vanilla extract or espresso powder for flavor. The fudge can be stored for up to a week in an airtight container, and can also be frozen for up to three months.
