Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium pot, bring a small amount of water to a boil. Add the mixed seafood and cook for about 3-5 minutes, until just starting to become opaque. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, then add salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir for 1-2 minutes until well combined.
- Stir the seafood into the cream sauce until well coated. Transfer this mixture into a greased baking dish.
Baking
- Sprinkle the grated Gruyère cheese over the seafood mixture, followed by the breadcrumbs.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it sit for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh herbs.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, bake at 350°F (175°C) until heated through. You can make the gratin healthier by using low-fat cream and adding vegetables.
