Ingredients
  

For the Gratin
  • 1 pound mixed seafood (shrimp, scallops, and crab) Fresh is best!
  • 1 cup heavy cream A creamy texture makes all the difference.
  • ½ cup grated Gruyère cheese Or any cheese that melts well.
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs For that perfect crunchy topping.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Use unsalted for better control over flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adds amazing depth of flavor.
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika For a subtle, smoky flavor.
For the Garnish
  • to taste fresh parsley or dill, chopped Brightens up the dish with color and freshness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium pot, bring a small amount of water to a boil. Add the mixed seafood and cook for about 3-5 minutes, until just starting to become opaque. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, then add salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir for 1-2 minutes until well combined.
  5. Stir the seafood into the cream sauce until well coated. Transfer this mixture into a greased baking dish.
Baking
  1. Sprinkle the grated Gruyère cheese over the seafood mixture, followed by the breadcrumbs.
  2. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  3. Let it sit for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh herbs.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, bake at 350°F (175°C) until heated through. You can make the gratin healthier by using low-fat cream and adding vegetables.
