Ingredients

For the Salmon
  • 4 pieces 4 salmon fillets (approximately 6 oz each, skin-on for better flavor and texture) Use fresh, high-quality salmon for the best flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to your personal preference.
For the Maple Glaze
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup Choose a high-quality syrup for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Low-sodium preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger Optional for added depth.
For Garnish
  • to taste Chopped fresh parsley Optional garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season your salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined to make the glaze.
Cooking
  1. Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down. Brush the glaze generously over each fillet, reserving about a tablespoon for basting later.
  2. Cook the salmon in the air fryer for about 8-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets, until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  3. Halfway through cooking, baste the salmon with the reserved glaze for extra flavor.
  4. Once done, remove the salmon from the air fryer and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in the air fryer or microwave. For a gluten-free option, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
